Eat Paint Cook Tour of Tuscany: After an incredibly fun experience this year, I will
return to Chianti in Tuscany, Italy for another tour of this beautiful region. After many visits, I know just where to take
you and what to do when we get there! Think
of it as a Tuscan cruise without the water…Cooking lessons and on-site massage
are available during the week. Our chef
is comical and not at all fussy. A
self-described “Man from Chianti”, he loves having us come into the kitchen and
cook with him for a couple of hours. He
also makes sure we eat fresh organic Italian meals every day. If you want to paint or photograph, we have a
studio, and I have reference photos and pre-sketched images of our destinations…experience
or talent are not required! Painting on
this trip is by no means a requirement (but it might be fun to try!) Follow

Workshop
title: MAKING COLOR SING
Description: A wonderful world of color awaits
you in a Rose Edin workshop. She emphasizes the use of color harmonies to
create brilliant paintings. Pure color is often used in layers to create
special effects. She also utilizes and teaches the use of liquid mask, stencils
and the actual tracing around shapes of flowers and leaves. Other techniques,
such as painting wet into wet, and pouring and spattering paint directly on the
paper, are designed to "loosen up" the painter and bring freedom and
spontaneity to the painting. You will be amazed at your progress and the fun
you will have in the process!
Subject matter may include florals,
landscapes, buildings in a setting or figures incorporated into the painting.
Rose chooses new subject matter for each painting and each workshop. She learns
with her students the possibilities within each subject.
Rose Edin holds
signature membership in the American Watercolor Society (AWS), the National
Watercolor Society (NWS), and the Transparent Watercolor Society of America
(TWSA). Rose has been awarded "Master" status in the TWSA. She
has received two distinct awards in The American Watercolor Society, First
place in the animal/wildlife division of The Artist Magazine's annual
international art competition, invited to exhibit in the Shanghai Invitational
Watercolor Exhibition, has had a painting in the book, Splash and has had her
work on the cover as well as two major articles in the French magazine: the Art
of Watercolour - 2013 and 2014. Most
importantly, she is known as a fabulous demonstrator and teacher
